My silent alarms won’t sync. I tried restarting the device multiple times and tried removing my Inspire 2 from my Bluetooth devices on my phone as well as deleting it from my Fitbit app and reinstalling it.

It’s ridiculous this is still happening! I still have 2 ghost alarms that only appear in the app. They cannot be selected or deleted.

I gave up and got an Inspire 3 - now have an issue with Google Calendar alerts. Have posted a question about it.

Now my sleep does not record properly.  I hope you have better luck with the Inspire 3, I will not be purchasing anymore Fitbit products or recommending them to anyone, I’m going to move on to a product that provides customer service when things don’t work as they should.

Seems like maybe they don’t view this as an issue? I’m so surprised this bug hasn’t been worked out yet. I’ve got five ghost alarms. 😞

Again. This is still an issue. It’s been almost six month. Is Fitbit not planning on fixing this? I’m very disappointed as a loyal Fitbit user since 2014, to see no resolution on this.

Please, can we get a real fix? Nothing that Fitbit has suggested has ever worked.

We all answered this question and still no resolution.

I agree! I hate to switch to a different brand, but this is my second frustrating customer service issue with FitBit this year. I have not renewed my Premium subscription, and I'm looking into other options.

This issue has been posted before, with the what I can tell the most recent response from November 2022 being:  "I apologize for the duplicate alarms issues you're encountering. Our team is investigating this issue and is also working on a manual work-around to delete the duplicate alarms coming this month."

I have:

1.) updated my Fitbit App

2.) force quit the App

3.) reopened the app

4.). synced my watch

5.) deleted the ONE deletable alarm via my laptop

6.) synced my watch, again

7.). rebooted my Fitbit

8.) synced my watch, again

I have attached a picture.  None of these alarms are syncable or deletable.  It's like the app doesn't know they exist.

Please give an update on this fix.  It has been a problem for almost a year based on other posts on this board.  You can see from the pic that there are two alarms for the same time, which makes zero sense!

Thank you!

I've been having the same issue since early January. I can't sync alarms or retrieve any of my sleep data. I understand that the Google takeover is changing a lot, but these are basic functions. Is anyone going to help users who have already committed to fitbit products?

Best Answer

I got so fed up that I finally gave up my FitBit, after years of using it, and switched to Amazon Halo instead. It's not perfect, but there are a lot of good things about it, including working alarms! I actually like the interface better, too. I haven't had any issues with it yet, but hopefully if and when I do they'll be better with their customer service than FitBit has been. No offense to the customer service employees--obviously FitBit just hasn't made it a priority to listen to their customers' needs.

I think I’m going to have to do a swap too - so many issues with Fitbit when updates are done & not enough from them to inform their uses what’s happening and why

Hi everyone!

Thanks for getting back with more details, as well as the steps tried on your own. I wanted to let you know that our team released the Fitbit app 3.77 version which brings a fix for issues experienced with the alarms. This update should be available for all our members, so please make sure to install it on your phone. For more details about how to manage your alarms, see this help article.

Your patience and feedback are truly appreciated. We'll keep working to Fitbit more useful for you.

Update did not work. 3.77 installed one week ago. iPhone 12–iOS 16.3.1

It won’t let me attach a screenshot on here.

@gaa10986 It's good to see you around.

Thanks for the details provided, and your efforts while trying to attach a screenshot. I'm sorry the issue persists and let's try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app as last resort. Then reboot your phone and try deleting the duplicate alarms one more time.

By the way, let me recommend the instructions described here to attach a screenshot.

I’ve had the same problem for nearly a year, as well. I can’t edit alarms, so they must be deleted. But when I delete an alarm, it turns gray and won’t disappear. And now the growing number of ghost alarms are keeping me from being able to make new ones. As frustrating as that is, it’s more frustrating that FitBit hasn’t fixed this known issue by now.

Just uploaded update 3.78, but the deleted alarms are still there. Any hope for a real solution soon?
