Inspire 2 silent alarms won't sync

My silent alarms won’t sync. I tried restarting the device multiple times and tried removing my Inspire 2 from my Bluetooth devices on my phone as well as deleting it from my Fitbit app and reinstalling it.

I had to log out to get rid of the 8 alarms that kept popping up. But now if I try to set a new alarm it just adds another and I can’t turn them on and off like before. My Fitbit is updated.

Issue continues same as everyone else, any other updates in the works?

I've been having the issue with alarms not syncing/duplicates being created/not being able to edit alarms for over a week now. I contacted customer service, who told me they were aware of this issue and working on it. My "fix" has been to sync my old Inspire 2 every day, then switch back to my current Inspire 2--that was the only way I could set new alarms and not have the old ones go off (even though they said they weren't synced). But as of this morning, I'm not able to sync my old Inspire 2, so I'm stuck. And whatever "fix" has been created by the company isn't working for either of my Inspire 2s, one of which is less than a year old. This is so frustrating!!!

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.

Thanks for sharing your experience with your Inspire 2 and your efforts while working on this matter. I'm sorry the Alarms App is still not working correctly and to look into this, please provide me with the following:

  • Do you get a message when trying to delete the duplicated alarms?
  • Have you tried restarting your tracker and rebooting your phone?
  • What is the model and OS version of your phone?

These details will help me to further investigate, so please keep me posted.

1) no message appears with duplicate alarms

2) restarted both tracker and phone

3) iPhone 13 IOS 16

I bought my Inspire 2 new and upon first turning it on and going to set alarms all the aforementioned issues were there. I deleted all duplicate alarms and mine has just selected two alarms to actually go off. All others are grayed out and will not sync and cannot be turned on or off.

Hi there, @gaa10986.

Thanks for getting back with more details, the screenshot provided, as well as the steps tried on your own. Let me share our team is actively working on a sync improvement to help ensure that Silent Alarm Syncing is more robust for all our members.

I apologize for the duplicate alarms issues you're encountering. Our team is investigating this issue and is also working on a manual work-around to delete the duplicate alarms coming this month.

Your feedback is appreciated and in the meantime, please make sure to keep your Inspire 2 syncing so the rest of your details can stay updated on the Fitbit app.

This response is reprehensible. It’s a carbon copy of one you posted months ago to someone who had the same issue. Numerous people have stated all the troubleshooting they have performed, and what response, or lack of it, they have had from the device. This is a basic software issue which a first year coding student could fix with ease. Disgraceful customer service. Do better. Quickly.

Further update: now even my alarms that are toggle-able, are not going off anymore. Any new updates?

To answer your questions, I am having the same continued ghost duplication of alarms.

1) no message appears with duplicate alarms

2) restarted both tracker and phone

3) iPhone 12 Pro Max, running IOS 15.6.1

Ditto, I’ve got ghosts!

I create an alarm and a second slightly lighter in color one is created but never syncs. Tried deleting them all and it orphans one out in the app despite none showing on the website.

I’ve fallen back to just using reoccurring reminders on my iPhone and enabled Notifications for them as a work around for now.

Hi everyone!

Thanks for your feedback and efforts while working on this matter. For the ones still having issues with duplicate silent alarms, let me recommend the following steps:

  1. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Inspire 2 > Silent Alarms.
  2. Tap on a duplicate alarm (the one shown with a status of "Not Synced Yet"), and then tap on Delete Alarm.
  3. Wait for the status to stop updating and the "Not Synced Yet" message to disappear.
  4. Go back to the previous screen, scroll down and tap on Sync Now. Wait for Syncing to complete.
  5. Tap on Silent Alarms to confirm the duplicate alarm are deleted.

Please repeat this step for each of the duplicate or unwanted alarms with a "Not Synced Yet" message and keep me posted on the outcome.

Thank you for your reply regarding this frustrating matter. Unfortunately, it's not possible to edit or delete the duplicate alarms. In fact, when I try to delete any of my alarms, it just creates more of them. The only fix I've found is to literally use two different FitBits, which means I have to switch them back and forth every morning (syncing them to my account as replacements for each other). I can't figure out any other way to get my alarms to disappear. I assume that FitBit would just prefer if those of us who still have Inspire 2s just upgrade to Inspire 3s or something else, and that's why they're not making this issue a priority. I actually tried to do that, but I hit a glitch because I already have premium and wanted to get a new FitBit with a special rate for premium--when I tried to place the order, the website literally wouldn't let me. I gave up because I figured it just wasn't worth more hassle.

Hi everyone.

Thanks for getting back with more details, as well as the steps tried on your own. Also, for the pictures provided. I'm sorry the alarms aren't working well and just to confirm, did you try the steps suggested in my previous post? Please make sure to follow each step in the given order as they have worked for other members.

If by any chance the issue persists, I'd need you to provide me the model of your phone and the OS version. This will help me to investigate and see what may be occurring.
