Inspire 2 - sleeping heart rate issues

Hi everyone.

Just wondering if anyone else is noticing this.

I have my Fitbit Inspire for nearly 12 months now. Up until November everything looked ok with the heart rate readings but then from December onwards and almost every night the Inspire will measure my sleeping heart rate to be well above my resting heart rate. Since then I hardly get a reading for the night to be below my resting heart rate.

Interestingly my resting heart rate during the day has not altered at all but obviously the heart rate figure for the month has been going up since December as the sleeping heart rate readings have been pushing it up.

Anyone else noticed this or anything similar?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @nikouli10.

Thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience you've been experiencing with your Inspire 2.

It's a bit strange that you only have this problem during your sleep. Before considering other options, I recommend that you try restarting the device following these steps

In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.

Hope this helps, I'll be around.

Mine is strangely higher than normal resting HR for the first couple of hours of sleep.  It doesn't seem right.

@chris_in_cal Thank you for sharing that you've been having the same inconvenience with your Inspire 2.

A normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute. Generally, a lower heart rate at rest implies more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness. If you haven't done so already, please make sure to follow all the recommendations mentioned here earlier to improve the accuracy of heart rate in general.  Let me know if you continue to experienced the same behavior afterwards.
