Inspire 2 stopped tracking my heart rate

Just noticed that today the green led lights on the watch is not lit up. Also the heart rate tracking feature stopped logging data. Did anyone encounter similar issues before?

Tried soft restarting but that didn't help.

Thanks

@Barbk90 One feature of the Inspire 2 is that you have the option to wear it on your wrist or on a clip. If it is set to wear on a clip, the heart rate monitoring will be turned off and the green lights won't be on.

To check this, press and hold both buttons on the sides of the Inspire 2. You'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist", if you want see your heart rate and sleep stages. If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist".

Hi there, @jasonDao22. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Inspire 2 before reaching out.

I'd like you to perform the following steps below for this situation:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your Inspire 2. To switch the heart rate settings on your Inspire 2, from the main screen of your Fitbit device, swipe left until you see "Settings", next swipe up until you see "Heart Rate" and switch it to Off.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Fitbit device. To do so, open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account icon, tap on your Inspire 2's image and tap on "Sync Now"
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your Inspire 2 once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your Inspire 2 once again. To do so, press and hold the left button for 8 seconds while it is plugged into the charging cable as if it were charging.
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible) We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

Test your Inspire 2 the next couple of days to see if you start receiving your data once again. For more information, see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Hi everyone,

I just got a new fitbit, and it worked fine the 1st day but since it has not read my heart rate or logged my sleep. I did the reset and followed the above instructions, but to no avail. Any ideas?

I didn’t know this. My Fitbit was accidentally set to on clip so my heart rate wasn’t working  either. I changed it and it is now working. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much!! That seems to have worked. I'll see if it tracks my sleep too. You're the best!

I just noticed my Fitbit Inspire 2 hasn't been tracking my heart rate and sleep for months. I googled and looked on here for a solution. I don't see heart rate option in the settings, I don't see on clip option either.  I see Heart rate zone on the actual fitbit settings. I swipe up to get to settings and it shows Dim Screen,  Phone GPS,  do not disturb,  sleep mode, heart zone notifications,  button lock, clear user data, reboot device and device information.  I checked the fitbit app on my phone. It said it was up to date.  I pressed Today then my profile pic then the inspire 2 and there is nothing there about heart rate

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Fitbit Forums to all new users.

Thank you all for adding your comments to this thread as well. You have done an amazing job troubleshooting your Inspire 2. But if you're still having issues with your heart rate you might consider checking the steps suggested here  by @MarreFitbit. As other users mentioned, you can also doble check if the option "On Clip" is turn on. Thanks for this suggestion @alexthecat.

@rblackwood21 You will find information about "Wearing Inspire 2 in a clip" on page 14 here: Manual Inspire 2. Check also how to turn on/off heart rate on page 23.

Hope this helps.

I tried all of this and it still didn't work at all. What's going on i just got the inspire2 last year and this the first time it's done this and it was right after y'all's most recent app update I will be contacting corporate if y'all don't fix this. My phone is fully communicating with the device I get notifications with it but the app isn't communicating with the device. The main reason I got a fit bit was to track sleep and heart rate and I can't do that if you're app is not functioning properly so please fix or patch it or whatever so I have a reason to use y'all's device and not go to the competitior.

I'm experiencing the same. I got a new Inspire2 at the end of June. It does track some things, like heart bpm. It also notified me of aFib, which was a surprise and which has sent me to a doctor. Glad it noticed!

However, it doesn't track my sleep very well. Breathing rate almost never appears. In the two weeks I've had it, I think there's been only one, maybe two. I talked with support via chat and they said this was a Known Problem and that they're working on it, but with no indication of when we might expect a fix.

Given that the previous post is from late April, I'm not encouraged!

I've tried everything. I've moved  the strap two fingers from the wrist bones. I've rebooted. I've set and reset a variety of settings. All the things that are suggested here. But if this is a software problem on Fitbit's side, I'm wasting my time, right?

Would surely like to hear from Fitbit support. And would surely like to find a place where a customer can log a trouble ticket in addition to talking with fellow sufferers.
