Inspire 2 stopped tracking my heart rate

The heart rate tracker has stopped on my Inspire 2. Normally there's a green light at the back of the device to show its active and that has shut off

Hi there, @LADYC1978. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Inspire 2.

I'd like you to perform the following steps below for this situation:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your Inspire 2. To switch the heart rate settings on your Inspire 2, from the main screen of your Fitbit device, swipe left until you see "Settings", next swipe up until you see "Heart Rate" and switch it to Off.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Fitbit device. To do so, open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account icon, tap on your Inspire 2's image and tap on "Sync Now"
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your Inspire 2 once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your Inspire 2 once again. To do so, press and hold the left button for 8 seconds while it is plugged into the charging cable as if it were charging.
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible) We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

Test your Inspire 2 the next couple of days to see if you start receiving your data once again. For more information, see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

My Inspire2 was new on Christmas Day.  There is no flashing light from the back now.  I tried what you suggested in this thread but it has not returned, and there is no heartrate reading.

I'm having the same issue. Just got mine on Christmas day too.

The advice above from the moderator doesn't work.

I got mine working again by doing the following:

1. Hold down the side button.

2. Scroll down when you see the quick settings button to "Enable on clip".

3. If you select yes, that should enable the heart rate monitor.

Hope this helps!

I'm not sure why this is marked as best answer, as the advice did not work.

Thanks. It had turned Heart rate track off itself. I've not touched it. Thanks, was able to turn it back on again.

I had this happen before, when I must've accidentally engaged the Quick Settings and changed it to On Clip. This time, however, it shows ON WRIST and though the green light is on it sometimes flashes a reading.  My device got wet last week and I'm guessing minerals are blocking the sensor. Or maybe my tan has thrown it off, haha.
