I have disabled push notifications for trackers that do not interest me. I want and need notifications from my phone. However if I want to disable the completely unnecessary and interruptive ‘discoball’, i have to put my fitbit on ‘do not disturb’. It is ridiculous to
lose functionality because one doesn't want to be interrupted by a trivial aesthetic feature.

Hi @Hattiephant. Welcome to the Fitbit Community!
Thanks for the details regarding to your Inspire 2.
I've been informed that you already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.

Yes
It was they who suggested I disable all notifications and when I told them this wasn't a workable solution helpfully suggested I post feedback to the community board as others have found this similarly galling.
hopefully it will be rectified 🙂

Hi @Hattiephant. It’s good to see you around in the forums!
Thank you for the feedback regarding this situation with your Inspire 2.
We each have a primary daily goal. By default it is 10,000 steps and when we hit our primary goal we get a "celebration" on the Fitbit.
You can't to turn it off but you can change it - either to another metric such as distance, or to a different value. If it's of no interest to you, you could just change it to a value you will never reach. Instructions are in the following help article.
