Inspire 2 vs Ace 3 ( size and band)

Hi Fitbit team,

I want my kids to use the easy wake-up feature, first I ordered Ace 3, it's still on the way to me, but now I understood that it doesn't have this feature. Now I want to replace it with Inspire 2 instead.

Does Ace 3 has the same size as Inspire 2? Will this band: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/products/accessories/ace3-classic?sku=178ABBUGN band is compatible with Ace 3?

Thanks,

Mike.

Before you base you decision on bands, just wanted to be sure you understand the limitations of going outside the Family Account Aces.

You cannot add an Inspire 2 to a family account.

Children under 13 (in U.S.) cannot have their own Fitbit accounts.

You cannot have multiple Fitbits on the same account.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@JohnnyRow Thank you for the quick response, it's definitely something to consider.

In general, do you know why the heartbeat sensor was disabled? is there some legal limitations for such kind of devices for kids? or might be sensors that fitbit uses don't work well for kids?

Don't really know.  I seem to vaguely remember, when first Ace came out, something about Fitbit saying they didn't think it appropriate for kids to be concerned about weight and heart rate.  I can see that making sense for weight, but maybe not so much for heart rate.  But I might not be remembering that correctly.

That is an problem. I wanted to give my son my current Inspire 2 to track him and my me a new one... but it won't work since I cannot have him under the same family 😞
