Inspire 2 won't change to "On Wrist" setting

My Inspire 2 has worked fine for 4 months since purchase.  But after I got up briefly in the middle of the night, the green light disappeared and it stopped monitoring heartbeat and sleep.  The setting now shows as ‘On clip’ but when I try to change it to ‘On wrist’, I just get a greyed-out message saying ‘Enable On wrist?’ which is unresponsive to being tapped.  I have tried rebooting, charging, and cleaning the sensors, to no avail.  What can be done please?

 

Update: Phoned Fitbit support as no responses on here.  Very helpful guy, took me through uninstalling and reinstalling from scratch and it worked after the reinstall

This just happened to me this morning and I can’t change it back. How did you find a phone number for Fitbit support?

For some unknown reason the ‘Community’ will not permit me to reply with the phone number - my message isn’t accepted!  Can’t remember where I found it now unfortunately.

 

let me try giving you a simple code.  If a = 0, b = 1, c= 2 etc, the number is 
aca ddij gebg 

Sorry to have to do it this way!

 

Hooe you see this before Big Brother deletes it
