Hi, @Cheryl92 , sometimes the Inspire 2 doesn’t seem to be charging when it is actually unresponsive instead. This is especially likely to happen if the battery is allowed to die completely.  Is that what happened with your?

I would recommend plugging it in to charge as usual.  Do use a plug and charging cord known to be working, and ideally use a wall charger rather than your computer.

Once you are sure that it has had a good two hours charging (even if it does not seem to be charging) try the restart procedure.  The instructions are here .  Although the instructions say to hold the button for 5 seconds, if your Fitbit has become unresponsive, sometimes you need to try the procedure several times, and hold the button for MUCH longer than 5 seconds (maybe up to 30 seconds or more).  With luck you will find that your Fitbit springs into life and is working well again.

For best results, and to prolong the life of your Fitbit, you should avoid really deep, or complete, discharges of the battery as much as possible.  Occasional deep discharges will not cause significant harm, but allowing this regularly will significantly shorten the overall life of the battery.

Good luck, welcome to the forums, and let us know if this works for you!

Thank you for your reply. I've done what you suggested but still no battery charge. I've tried everything I've seen online as well and bought a new charger hoping that would help...Disappointing to say the least as I bought it 12/26/21, so less than a year ago.

My inspire HR was very cranky to charge and I tried several chargers, in the wall and on my computer. I wiped the back with an alcohol swab (and did the same to the charger). This time, though, I had a toothpick nearby and used it to poke the swab to the charging contacts and really get in there. The swab came back with a black spot on it. I did this to the other ports on the back, which also came back black. To my joy, when I put it on my charger, it started charging! I'm hoping this trick will let me get a couple more months out of it (bought mine March 2019).

Hope this helps!
