Battery died completely, now trying to sync on the app and not working. Screen has been very dark for a while now. It is 18 months old now, has it run out of its life's span.

As a first approach, I'd recommend restarting your Inspire 2. If the issue persists after this, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
