My brand new fitbit Inspire 2 won't show my heart rate. Also when i go to settings, there is not a setting to adjust my heart rate. There is no green light flashing.

Thank you in advance!

@willemijnl hello and welcome to the forum!

One feature of the Inspire 2 is that you have the option to wear it on your wrist or on a clip. If it is set to wear on a clip, the heart rate monitoring will be turned off and the green lights won't be on.

To check this, press and hold both buttons on the sides of the device. You'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist". If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist".

Sounds like you may have a defective Fitbit.

This totally worked for me for the heart rate; hopefully it rectifies why it hasn't been documenting my sleep too!

Excellent fix. Why it was preset to “Clip” vs “Wrist” is a mystery!
But I’m getting pulse now and I hope to get sleep data tonight.
Thanks. James

  • Update: Sleep data recorded correctly also after fixing heart rate problem by turning off “On Clip” and turning on “On Wrist.”
