Traveling enroute to east coast from Asia. Inspire 2 won't synch to correct time zones once I synch with the app via my phone which has the correct zone time... why? This device is supposed to be a smartwatch with fitness apps....I've already wasted way too much time via Google searches and Fitbit's forum... anyone know how to correct or why it isn't smart enough to know the correct time once I've synched with a correct/current time source? Thanks

I finally figured out why Fitbit is super slow to update the time zone when you travel. It is because it syncs the time zone from your Google Calendar! (at least for me as a user of Google Calendar and having logged in to Fitbit with my Gmail account) As soon as I went to Google Calendar to update my time zone (and synced the device with my iPhone), the time zone was corrected.
It is weird that Fitbit does not mention this info anywhere. I followed their official instructions (set it to automatic time zone adjustments) and synced the device and nothing was working. In contrast, my Oura ring correctly updated the time zone right away (presumably from the iPhone time zone). Until I speculated that being part of Google, Fitbit might pull it from your Google data, which they indeed seem to do.
