Inspire 2 won't sync with Huwaei Psmart phone

My Huwaei phone stopped synching on August 29th with my Inspire 2. It had been fine up until then. Since then I seem to have spent hours following instructions off the internet & on here to try & remedy this. I wouldn't say I was brilliantly tech savvy but I have - Uninstall/reinstalled app , checking the notifications, bluetooth etc. I have updated the OS on my phone. I have almost lost the will to live at times.

I now use pen & paper to record my daily steps at bedtime. I am in my 70s & bitterly regret your decision to stop it from being usable on my laptop which was ideal for me. I much prefer to see things on a larger screen & resent 'having' to use my phone.

I will obviously try any other suggestions. It's a shame as I thought the fitbit (which I've had for a few years) was great. Apologies for moaning but writing it down has at least made me feel a bit better!

Hi there, @hullsaddler. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot the issue with your Inspire 2 before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

In addition to the steps you've done so far, I'd suggest trying the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Inspire 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Inspire 2.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Inspire 2.
  • Once your Inspire 2 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Inspire 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Once you manage to sync your Inspire 2, the time should be corrected. Keep in mind that your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.

Thanks for answering. I will give it a go. ( or I might see if my son-in-law can give it a go when we see him)
