Inspire 2 won’t sync with iPad

Just received this as a Mother’s Day gift, and already my Inspire 2 will not sync with my iPad. My Fitbit app is up to date, I removed the device from Bluetooth, when I try to add it back Bluetooth can’t find it, I restarted the iPad. I deleted the Fitbit from the app, and restarted the Fitbit.  When I tried to add the device back the app finds it, sends the 4-digit code, and when I enter it in the app it says “Connecting to Fitbit” but just spins and spins until I get an error message “Something went wrong” “There was an error trying to pair your device.”  This is frustrating, as since I restarted it the time isn’t right, so I can’t even just give up and use it as a watch. 😡

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @CharGA.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I am sorry to hear about the frustration this situation has caused. I recommend confirming if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app? For complete troubleshooting instructions, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Okay, on Sunday when I updated the app it still wouldn’t sync. I updated it again this afternoon and apparently the latest update Fitbit published a day ago did the trick!!  It synced right away and all is well now! This is a relief, as this is only my second device. My Alta HR was going strong from April 2017 until May 2021! When it died, it died! I’m praying this one serves me as well as the Alta HR did!
Thank you for the assistance!

Hi @CharGA as with your Alta HR, you will not be able to connect the Inspire 2 to your phone. This is the responsibility of the Fitbit App.

If you remove the Inspire from the phones Bluetooth, open the fitbit app on the phone. Give it a few minutes and the fitbit app will ask for permission to connect the tracker to the Bluetooth.

I have the exact same problem with my Fitbit on return from holiday but nothing is working to sync my Fitbit inspire 2 with my iPad. I have ran through every video, every suggestion and it still does the same, I enter 4 digit code and nothing, it spins round and round just stuck.

You should not need a code @Asiamay1. unless you removed the tracker from your fitbit account, and this would be a mistake.

Have you cleared the Fitbit cache? I'm android, so you will need to use Google, and yes Google powers the iOS search.
