Inspire 2 won't track my sleep score

My Inspire 2 stopped giving me a sleep score 6 months after purchase. Until then it gave me a score every night. Eventually, after failed re-booting/factory resetting, Fitbit agreed to replace the unit but still no sleep score. I read that if a user has a-fib the unit will not give a sleep score so I underwent an ECG which confirmed a normal sinus rhythm. I now know it's not the unit as, when my partner has tried it, it does record a sleep score. The unit gives me a resting heart rate AND a 'live' heart rate so I'm at a loss to understand why I get no sleep score. I would add that I am doing nothing differently from when I did get a nightly score. I guess the problem is with me but.....what? I'd be grateful for suggestions. Thank you.

Hi there, @Andy3T. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Inspire 2 before reaching out.

Keep in mind that you must see sleep stages in order to see your sleep score information.

With that in mind, I recommend considering the following in order to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Thank you for your suggestions. With respect I have checked out all those possibilities when suggested in my many chats with Fitbit support. The point here really is that I am doing absolutely nothing differently from when the unit was purchased....it just stopped giving me a sleep score one night and that's how it's remained, apart from the very odd night when I do get a score (maybe one night in 5/6 weeks)
