Inspire 2 won't turn off

My Inspire 2’s screen automatically turns itself back on as soon as I turn it off or it falls asleep. I just won’t turn off. I’ve tried turning the sleep/wake off and I’ve rebooted it on and off the charger, but nothing’s fixed it. Please help! It won’t hold charge and I think this is why.

Hi there, @Valiandrra. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Inspire 2. @JohnnyRow Thanks for your help!

Is the screen wake feature on your Inspire 2 set to auto or manual? Keep in mind that when you set screen wake to Auto, the screen turns on each time you turn your wrist. When you set screen wake to Manual, firmly tap the screen twice to turn it on.

In the meantime, please restart your Inspire 2 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

If it is a dim screen with just the time, you probably have "always-on" screen turned on.  I'm not sure about Inspire 2 but on some models it is easy to turn on by accident in Quick Settings.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

It’s definitely not in always on mode as it does try to fall asleep - the screen goes black for about a quarter of a second before it wakes up again. Also, the Inspire 2 doesn’t have an always on mode.
