Hi everyone,
I saw the posts about the Lilac Inspire HR and I'm having some doubts about the text color on the black strap version. In all the photos, the text comes through as white on black.
I picked up a black Inspire HR from Best Buy this morning and the text looks tinted and slightly rose-colored? I thought this might be a packaging issue, but I exchanged it this afternoon and the text is the same color as before.
Isn't the text on the black strap supposed to be white on a black background? Or am I somehow not seeing a plastic screen protector on the face? Really confused as I wanted simple white text on a black background.
Thank you.

I’ve noticed this on mine as well if I view the screen at an angle. I think it has to do with the screen and the tint of the plastic it’s made of.

I spoke to Fitbit CS about it and they said that the screen text color should match the designated color of the band. Which makes me think that this might be a firmware bug. Funny enough, support asked me to send a photo and when I looked through the camera app, the text looked white.
I read that the Lilac has tinted plastic which gives the text a different tone so I assumed that the black band version would have clear plastic.
Solutions offered:
- Wait a couple hours after the firmware update and it should correct itself
- Restart the Inspire HR
Just a note - this is the third Inspire HR that I got. The second wouldn't charge (connected to charger and tested through a lot of USB wall chargers, hubs, batteries). Three trips to Best Buy on a Sunday wasn't as fun as I thought.

Interesting to hear. I took a pic of my black Inspire screen and it shows a bright purple tint on the text with my iPhone camera when I take a photo, in reality it’s more of a light rose pink tint but only at certain angles rest of the time white.

I am also having this issue.
I purchased an Inspire today and the information on the screen is pink - not white.
I might return the device, but according to the original post, I might receive another one with the same issue. It's not THAT big of a deal, but I'd rather have white text.

Got my Inspire HR 4days ago and I have been trying to change the clock face to white as it is a pink colour. (If I wake during sleep and check time it is white.) I saw somewhere that some of the clock faces have colour themes so I have tried installing a different clock face but it is still pink. Rather annoying as I particularly chose black because I wanted the white face.

I despise the pink/purple display and NEVER would have bought this device if I knew it was this color!!! When I ordered mine it made NO MENTION of choice in display color. I have black with black band and I want a bright white display. I cannot read the pink display with my sunglasses on. So pointless to even have a watch/tracker if I can’t read it outside. I have always loved Fitbit products and gave glowing reviews to anyone who asked. BUT NO MORE. I’m so so disappointed.

I see no one from FitBit has addressed this. You wrote it in March for crying out loud.

I never got a real answer but got used to the text color. More recently, I went back to WearOS with a Fossil Sport and it's working for my needs.
I will say that WearOS still has a long way to go, but with Google bringing Fitbit in, there may be faster iterations of hardware.
