Inspire HR Faulty - Failed to track heart rate and sync stops working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My husband and I purchased Inspire HRs at the same time in December, but mine is a bit temperamental and his works as expected.

It fails to sync at least once a fortnight and sometimes I have to remove it from the App and Bluetooth devices on my phone to get it to re-sync.

And today it tracked my exercise of 40 minutes, but no heart rate so I’ve got nearly 8,000 steps counted but it reckons I only burnt 39 calories.

I cannot re-create either of these issues so I might wondering if it is possible to get a replacement? It’s definitely not happy or working as well as my husband’s.

@caraha Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your with your Inspire HR not working as it should and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Regarding the syncing issues I suggest you refresh the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

About the heart rate try cleaning the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Finally only Support can provide a replacement after checking the warranty status. You can reach out to them here.

Let me know how it goes.
