I have been the biggest fan of Fit bit products since I started my journey in 2003. Before hand I was journaling my food, using a variety of books to eek out calories, using chunky step pedometers, etc. Then along came Fit bit zip, iPhones apps etc. The first Fit bit zip was unable to Bluetooth sync but it was far more modern and compact and offered more data than what was offered before. Then Bluetooth and phone apps came alone. Then Myfitnesspal. I have owned every manner of Fit bit watch you can imagine. I have loved them all. I have walked, ran, weight lifted, yoga'd, therapies my way to health. Recently my Fit bit charge 3 passed away and it was a sad death. I had a gazillion beautiful decorative bands for it.
So after research, I decided the best purchase for me at this stage in my life would be Inspire HR. It had the basic features I like, HR, sleep, everything my Charge 3 had at a modest price as I have chronic illness, no longer run, etc.
But there are tragic flaws. The "pin" system to change out the band. Awful. I am semi paralysed and live alone. Fit bit.....what made you think those tiny pins were a good idea? I am paralyzed and it takes me an hour to change them. You dont get extra pins so if you drop one of those tiny weasels, consider it gone like a sock in the laundry, or an earring back. I can't imaging meaty finger ppl dealing with those pins.
Putting it on the charger is like wrestling. You kinda got to clip it on, .....just right. I usually get it on just right about the second or third time. Getting it off the weird cradle shaped charger is like Yankee money out of Trump's hands. Anyone have advice dealing with the charger? I am going to break this device.
The original band it came with, something changed. It caused great irritation on my skin. Maybe Fit bit increased their latex formula in the band? I had never ever had a reaction like that to their rubber bands before? It was a red knawing burn, hence I had to purchase new bands and discovered the pin change out system. Fitbit, you change the recipe in your rubber bands? It burned me.
Fitbit, when you design these items pls warn ppl, tiny pins, new band recipes, be kind to ppl. Had I "known" these things I would have purchased another band. I rely on your products and have had almost a decade of success. Two accounts (for some reason my original account died you made me create this one). This is my first community post ever in 3000 days of fitbit use (including the original account I really want back but for some reason you could not help me with, it just magically deactivated, with my quiet self and like 7 friends).
Other than those items. The watch is great and as an avid Fit bit user who has almost every device from small to mid grade to GPS tracking super high end, this watch is a solid mid grade tracker that works well.
Can anyone help me with the charging port? I am worried I will do something wrong. I can't afford another watch.

Hi @Tilda_Swan - So sorry to hear about your issues but glad you found us here. I want to make sure we are talking about the same Fitbit device. I have a picture of the Inspire HR below. The charger seems very simple to attach to the device. As long as you have both facing the same direction, the magnet should pull the two together. I simply lined up the two, then lowered the charger. The magnet snapped them together. Please let me know if I’m not understanding this correctly. I want to help.
As for the band attachment, I agree. With arthritis in my fingers, I found that band difficult to take on/off. But recognizing the problem some of us have, Fitbit made things easier in later models. The Charge 4, the Versa 3 and the Surge bands are easy to change out, even for my poor fingers. You press a latch then slide the band in or out.
