Hi all! I have merged a few threads here to help keep the community tidy.
As many of you are aware, a recent firmware release (version 1.63.12) was pushed to a percentage of Inspire HR users. This release was intended to only affect some newly manufactured products and has since been rolled back.
Thankfully, this firmware version (1.63.12) has no discernible difference from the previous update (1.63.5) and your Inspire HR should continue to function as it normally would. This release does not contain any additional features or bug fixes It is also worth noting that this release is not related to Fitbit Premium in any way.
For those of you who have successfully updated to Firmware Version 1.63.12, my apologies for any confusion this might have caused and I appreciate the time and effort it took to update your device.
I also see a few of you have mentioned that some tiles are missing on your Inspire HR after updating. If you are missing tiles after the update, I recommend performing each of the steps detailed in this article to restart your tracker.
I will be sure to keep you posted with any additional information I may have. Feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions below. Thanks!

An earlier poster mentioned that restarting the fitbit brought back the icons. I found that worked for me, too.

I got the .12 version. Can I expect to have it rolled back? Or a second update with the same version number? Or another update with a different version number?

@YojanaFitbit I have restarted my fitbit multiple times today and yesterday and they haven't come back. I've ensured the app was updated and restarted my phone too just in case and then tried restarting the fitbit after that as well.
I am also now having problems receiving notifications which I asked for help here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Updated-Fitbit-amp-no-longer-receiving-notifications-or-all-...
I have my fitbit on the charger connected to a power source, hold the button until the screen goes "off" and I see the happy face.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Fourwinds... you definitely have more problems than most. I do have icons on HR after firmware update.. just don't have sleep details/score (simplified only) in app.
It seems the firmware update affected HRs differently... some have no problems and others like you have been really walloped.
Hope they are able to help get your HR working again

I reset my HR following the instructions, and none of the missing tiles have come back. Will this be fixed soon?

@april03 A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your missing tiles on your Inspire HR. It is odd that you don't see this data after an update. I would suggest you try restarting your tracker by following these instructions.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi. Thanks for your reply but restarting it did not solve the missing tiles problem 😞

My sleep score stopped working after the upgrade to .12 . I've had it not work for a day after I bought it but the band was just a bit loose

Have tried restarting the tracker, and the tiles are still not there.
I am missing sleep, water, food.
What was wrong with the previous version that made you roll out this update, and is there any way to revert to the .5 version, as that seemed better?
Thanks.

I called support this morning and they are not able to revert to .5.
What they had me do was to remove and then add back in the Fitbit to my account.
@YojanaFitbit is there an update on when the firmware will be relased to fix the issues that .12 has given?

Do you have an update?

@rsottley Got the update to tracker the other day and lost the tiles for sleep, food, water and calorie burn.
Just annoying to have to remove the tracker and add again every time there is a change made. Got the Inspire HR because the Flex 2 was a bit too basic for my needs, but am seriously annoyed that the tracker has to be removed and re-added every time they do an update.
Doubt that my next tracker will be a Fitbit if these issues are not addressed.
Stop releasing updates before they have been properly tested Fitbit.

@M-Asp , Yes it is very disappointing, I had one with another major company but decided to try the FitBit cause family recommended it. It's looking like you as well, I'm probably going to go shopping this weekend, get a refund for this one and put it towards a replacement.

Hi everyone. Thanks for providing your feedback regarding this update.
@april03 @M-Asp @fourwinds For anyone who may still be missing tiles after updating to 1.63.12, I would recommend trying the "clear user data" function found in the settings tab on your Inspire HR. Simply scroll up to 'settings' tap on 'clear user data' and hold down on the screen for 3 seconds when prompted. If that doesn't work, you may want to unpair your Inspire HR and pair it once more and that should do the trick.
@rsottley Though there is no way to revert back to the previous firmware, I can assure you that there is no discernible difference between the two versions. If you are still unable to see Sleep Score, I would recommend performing a quick restart. If that doesn't work you may want to check out the tips detailed in this article, as you would need to see Sleep Stages to see Sleep Score.
Hopefully, this will help with some of the issues I am seeing here. Feel free to let me know if you have additional questions. Thanks all.

Hi @MattFitbit
It just can't be right that we have to un-pair and then pair again every time there is an update.
I did this and the tiles are back, but it really shouldn't be necessary to do this with every update.
Every time the un-pairing and pairing again has been done, I have to fiddle about with the settings as everything I have done to fit my needs has been reset to default.
My husband has an unbranded tracker, and he has had no issues with that for the year and a half he has had it. I have had sleep not registered (had to remove app, restart tracker 3 times and re-install app to solve that), tiles going missing, steps not registering etc. Every time a restart has done nothing, and that solution seems to be your go to for everything.
When rolling out updates, then test them first and make sure that all issues have been resolved before rolling out the updates. This would make more sense, as I have heard from others that their next tracker will not be a Fitbit and some planning on returning for refunds and get another brand of tracker. Being market leader comes with obligations and not being sensible about these things means that you will not remain market leader.

@MattFitbit I did all of this already.
This is total rubbish.
01-16-2020 15:51
01-16-2020 15:51
But wouldn't "clear user data" erase all of my history? Will the history still be present in the app?

@MattFitbit you guys keep posting the same thing over and over again and it surprisingly is not resolving the issues being found by customers. If these things only start after build updates have been done to the devices, don't you think it is logical that these issues people are having are because of these changes? THAT IS TROUBLESHOOTING 101. You may not be technical and not understand that. I'm hoping people in your management are seeing this.
