Inspire HR Firmware Update: Version 1.63.12

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi all! I have merged a few threads here to help keep the community tidy.

As many of you are aware, a recent firmware release (version 1.63.12) was pushed to a percentage of Inspire HR users. This release was intended to only affect some newly manufactured products and has since been rolled back.

Thankfully, this firmware version (1.63.12) has no discernible difference from the previous update (1.63.5) and your Inspire HR should continue to function as it normally would. This release does not contain any additional features or bug fixes It is also worth noting that this release is not related to Fitbit Premium in any way.

For those of you who have successfully updated to Firmware Version 1.63.12, my apologies for any confusion this might have caused and I appreciate the time and effort it took to update your device.

I also see a few of you have mentioned that some tiles are missing on your Inspire HR after updating. If you are missing tiles after the update, I recommend performing each of the steps detailed in this article to restart your tracker.

I will be sure to keep you posted with any additional information I may have. Feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions below. Thanks!

@debbey

Try un-pairing and then add your tracker as new. This resolved all issues for me. Also make sure that your app is up to date.

I have done that several times, but it doesn't matter & doesn't work. I've got an android phone & it seems like it affects android users. Fitbit certainly doesn't seem to care about us at all! This has been messed up for soooo long with no resolution, it's very frustrating & disappointing!! Thank you for trying tho

@debbey

I have an android phone as well, and the issues I have had with the update were resolved when I un-paired and added tracker as new.
I had some issues with the Flex2 tracker I had before and I removed the app and then installed again. Think there was a 'bug' in the app that hadn't been resolved with an update.
Sounds like maybe you have to get in touch with customer support.

Im REALLY beginning to hate Fitbit! I can't start challenges,  now l need to mess around with stuff that worked 2 days ago! I just got out of the hospital & don't need this aggravation! Something's always going wrong with Fitbit! It's really frustrating...

  Thanx for responding. I'll try it later. I can't do it right now

Ive got an lnspireHR. Ive called so many times before & it's a joke. I get the run around & some of the "answers" I've been given were absurd! (Like my 2nd Fitbit had to be 200' away from the phone! My house isn't that big & it's worked fine for a year!) I've done all the things suggested, without any changes. More things go wrong. Stupid me spends more money on Fitbits!

I'm hoping they do a bug fix update soon...just noticed that my Inspire HR and my friend's Charge 2 is counting "steps" when it shouldn't be...like just sitting on the couch chatting. For the price of these devices it's a tad bit dissatisfying. Maybe time for a Samsung or Apple...

I also still have sleep, steps, water intake on my tracker and app.

Do you have an inspire hr? If so, which  version are you running? I have the inspire hr and am 2 versions behind. I want the latest 1.84.5 one as I am having issues with my current version. I wonder if an unpairing and clearing of data on my device (not app) will fix my issues and offer me the update?! I will try that!

I'm running on the last update - 1.63.5.12. I just got the update automatically. Don't know if a reset would do the trick for you.

Hi, Deethemachine (First Steps),

My Inspire HR's firmware version is 1.63.12. I agree with another person
on this as I don't know a reset will help update your Inspire HR's
firmware.

Hi, for the last month my Inspire HR has had difficulty scrolling through the tiles by touchscreen or the side button. This doesn’t always happen and when I plug my inspire to charge it, it solves the issue (however this happens even when my inspire is fully charged). I also have issues where the screen doesn’t even appear at all. Is this a firmware issue or a product issue?

I am a Fitbit user whose problem was resolved. Not a Fitbit consultant.

I'm using my home computer that does NOT have Windows 10. It's an ASUS Chromebook.

The website for inspire hr shows firmware version at 1.84.5 and I am way behind, at 1.63.5

Starting a week ago my device has been set for all day sync and the iPhone has background app refresh on for the Fitbit app.

Everything about sync, the device, and the app seem to be fine.

But I never see the firmware update banner, and the Fitbit app says my device firmware is up to date.

Can someone explain what is going on?

thanks,

Bob

Could this update cause the watch to cease to function almost completely? I have no sleep sensing, no heart rate, little battery life, now no step counting!  Please help. I can’t find anything that works. I have tried literally EVERYTHING that I can find to try to fix these issues.
