Hi all! I have merged a few threads here to help keep the community tidy.
As many of you are aware, a recent firmware release (version 1.63.12) was pushed to a percentage of Inspire HR users. This release was intended to only affect some newly manufactured products and has since been rolled back.
Thankfully, this firmware version (1.63.12) has no discernible difference from the previous update (1.63.5) and your Inspire HR should continue to function as it normally would. This release does not contain any additional features or bug fixes It is also worth noting that this release is not related to Fitbit Premium in any way.
For those of you who have successfully updated to Firmware Version 1.63.12, my apologies for any confusion this might have caused and I appreciate the time and effort it took to update your device.
I also see a few of you have mentioned that some tiles are missing on your Inspire HR after updating. If you are missing tiles after the update, I recommend performing each of the steps detailed in this article to restart your tracker.
I will be sure to keep you posted with any additional information I may have. Feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions below. Thanks!

I received notification this morning of a 30 minute update to my new InspireHR. I am trying to do the update but am in a loop -- it asks me to update, then I get in the "searching" mode, and it returns request to update "page". I can't seem to get it to initiate the actual update. What is wrong? (I'm on wifi it knows, synched to the iPhone, fully charged, turned "on", and all systems go.)

@CaptanneI had the same issue, but I was moving around a lot. I finally settled into my office at work, took my Inspire off, set it next to my iPhone, and just let the update happen. About an hour later, I checked and it updated fine, although the battery went from almost full to 63%.

I had the same (ultimately, good) result! There is a black hole at my desk for some reason and my Fitbit was not connecting to my iPhone but when I moved it to another room and left them both there together for a half hour, I returned to a fully updated Fitbit InspireHR! Like you, I noticed a large power drain -- from 95% to 80%. Working hard! (I wonder if the Fitbit has its own Fitbit? Okay, that's a little existential.....)
Also, for the record, there is a black hole between my Fitbit and my iPhone whenever I'm off wifi and on LTE or cellular reception. That I'm chalking up to some setting that I haven't toggled the right direction yet.

I had same. Fixed by removing inspire hr and then setting up as new device. I

I was unable to update until I restarted my tracker, then the update was fine. Does anyone know what the update actually did, though?

I received a message this morning 1/10/20 to update, I plugged in and it downloaded an update and after about 30 min. said update complete. However, my version is still 1.63.12, which is not the current version??????????? Update available to all customers in July of last year?????
How do I actually update to the current version?

Maybe they are reverting to an older version which worked better?

I believe .12 is the current version, and .5 is the old one. This thread is old for .5.

Thank you. I thought the version would increase.

Technically it does, but it's confusing... 12 > 5... but because of the ".", they really should have named version .5 version .05 for more clarity.

ITA, but they are not famous for clarity!

That’s not how versioning works. It’s not a decimal, it’s a revision marker. Major.minor.etc.etc

I updated my inspire hr this morning, and now my tracker no longer shows my sleep score (the moon tile is just gone). I can still see my sleep score on the app. Anyone else experience this?

Now that you mention it, yes!
I noticed that Weight and fluid intake were gone, and that made me happy. But sleep is gone, too!

Was this supposed to fix over counting steps? Because it did not. Not even slightly, and I JUST updated it yesterday so the update has been up for months now

Did your device update to 1.63.12?
Are you by any chance a Premium subscriber? I'm wondering if Fitbit is taking stuff away so they can sell it to us later.
