Inspire HR Heart Rate Readings not accurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just received this as a gift from the wife. Started wearing it Friday, but what I noticed is the readings are not accurate when compared to my BP cuff and pulse / ox devices.  We are talking a 20% plus difference in what the Inspire HR reads, and what's worse, the readings I see on the device are not what gets synched to the app on my iPhone.  At this point I find this device useless for heart rate tracking.  In talking to FitBit customer service, I'm told I should not expect the same accuracy as what the other devices show.  Guess I'm trying to use this device for something it was never intended to be used for, tracking my heart rate.

@Homestretch Welcome! It's good that the community is growing!

Let me help you with your heart rate reading. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.

I'm confused? I have the same problem however mine has done it from the time I took out of the box Brand New? I have only had the device for about 3 days now. Why would I have to clean a brand new device? I have read a lot of post regarding the heart rate on most of these Fitbit's and it's all the same. It doesn't work?

I absolutely agree. It is not worth anything other than steps. I paid almost $100 for a pedometer.

Resting heart rate is off by at least 15-20 beats. There are daily problems with syncing. Battery life is about three days. Sleep monitoring is worthless. If you get up during the night, it starts the night over. It then shows separate sets of data for each one. This is stupid. If I have entered my normal sleep and wake times, all data in that range should be one set.
