I've got a question about the heart rate logging I'm hoping someone can help me with. In case it's relevant, I am on a free trial of Premium and enrolled in the Heart Rate Study.
It's pretty clear that the heart rate graph in the app has a delay in reporting. I haven't yet identified what it is, but it seems like it is usually 10-15 minutes behind. First off, is this normal?
Secondly, if a heart rate spike is short enough, is it possible that it does not get logged correctly? I have a fairly mild form of POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia). I was sitting on my patio earlier this afternoon reading and had a heart rate of about 75. I got up and came inside and got a quick bout of lightheadness. I looked at my wrist and saw a heart rate of 114. It dropped back very shortly, but when I look at the heart rate log later the spike is not recorded and instead shows the 88bpm that I leveled out to after the lightheadedness passed.
I've seen something like this once or twice and assumed maybe I just misread it, but I'm starting to think now that either there is some type of data correction (since the spike never lasts very long) or the delay in logging is causing a problem. It's for sure the second time today I've had a spike where a physical symptom will cause me to check the device (lightheadness, pounding heart rate) and what I see on my wrist doesn't show up in the graph when I check later.
Any thoughts/insights?

@pirateforhire I hope you're doing well!
Let me help you with your heart rate data on your account. The delay could be because your tracker will sync in intervals (and usually they are between 15 minutes each). Regarding the brief heart rate spikes, remember that your heart rate data shows in 5 minutes intervals so if there is spike for a few seconds it won't show on the graph as it shows an average there.
Let me know how it goes.
