Inspire HR Lots of Lag when moving

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Inspire HR works very nicely when I am sitting still, I can swipe up and the animation is nice and quick.

However if I am moving my arm a little bit, or walking, the fitbit shows HUGE lags. The animation will be very jittery, most of the time it doesn't pick up the swiping at all, and when it does it is a weird stuttery mess. Its really hard to change from steps/heart rate!

I'm not really happy with it. When Im running I want to be able to quickly change and see heart rate/steps but the lagging makes it so hard! Its almost impossible sometimes to get it to change screen when moving.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I can do it just by moving my arm up and down slowly, then the lagging begins.

I have restarted etc to try and fix.

Hi @maroo, it's nice to have you on the Fitbit Forums again.

Thanks a million for sharing your feedback about how the display of your Fitbit Inspire is working. Thanks for trying those steps to troubleshoot it. I understand your point, Fitbit Inspire's display is very sensitive; sorry to hear that it is not helping you when you're performing your daily workout routines. If you've already restart it, it might be that this is the normal behavior of the display. You can give it a try for this week and keep me posted.

Our team is very interested on knowing your comments. Since this is a new device and we use this information to have more options on the future. We appreciate your time.

Hi,

I have restarted it and it is still lagging when walking or moving the device at all.

Also the lagging only occurs on the swipe down pages (steps/heart etc). If I swipe up from the clock face into the other menus (excercise/timer) there is no lagging.

So it only lags on the bits that I want to be looking at which is even worse.

Hopefully this can be fixed in a software update? Sounds like a CPU issue.

Also my battery life is barely over 2 days, which is pretty upsetting. Yes I have changed the clock face, yes I have turned off the all day sync. It's just very poor performance overall.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy an Inspire HR unless these issues are fixed.

Mine is a laggy/jittery mess all the time (usually only when I swipe down for the steps/HR etc). Sometimes the clock flashes on the screen when I'm trying to transition from steps to HR to water, etc. It's obviously not supposed to flash, but it's almost as if the unit doesn't know what it's supposed to be showing. It's extremely frustrating and makes me feel as if it's broken. Can an update fix this? So glad I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Hi @maroo and @MorgieDee thanks for getting back. Welcome to the Community Forums @MorgieDeeSmiley Happy

Sorry for the delay. @maroo Thanks for sharing this information about your Fitbit Inspire HR. In your case, I think that we need to focus also on how to get more days of use in your Fitbit. Two days by using regular features is not a good number. What activities are you doing? Are you tracking workouts using Connected GPS? Please check these recommendations and make sure that your Fitbit is up to date.

About your Inspire HR display, I'll let you know as soon as we have more details about this.

@MorgieDee In your case I think that we need to check your Fitbit functionality since as you said it is not supposed to flash when you check your clock face. Please restart it and let's see how it goes. Otherwise, I'd suggest to get help with our support team. I can give you a hand with that by requesting a ticket for this. Please keep me posted.

@Erg2000 thanks for sharing your feedback. Our team is working on solving this. Please stay tuned, we'll be updating this thread as soon as we get more information.
