I found the swimming portion on my Fitbit App (Android) and on my Fitbit Dashboard.  I can change my choice from yards to meters but can't find the following:

Next, enter your pool length.

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon (User-added image).
  2. Scroll down to Settings and tap Advanced Settings.
  3. Tap Swimming Settings.
  4. Enter the pool length and unit of measurement (meters or yards).

In my advanced settings there is no swimming icon anymore where I can set the pool length. It has ‘magically’ disappeared and the system automatically adjusted the pool length from 25 m which I had entered before to 20 m.

What can I do to adjust things backward?

Now if I could just get it to accurately count my laps.

Best Answer

Hi,

i have the same issue, it seems to be coincidental when the device counts the laps correctly. I never had it ‘under’count but quite often ‘over’count, so instead of counting the 25 laps I am doing counting up to 35.

Mine always under counts by about 5 laps. I've talked to customer service and they were no help.

Perhaps we should swim together and take the average of our Fitbit info.... 🙂

Is there anybody who can help?

I have checked the article and talked to customer support. Nothing works.
It is inaccurate in tracking my swims. I don't change strokes in the middle
of a lap. I don't stop in the middle of a lap. I swim for a little over an
hour without stopping. It routinely counts about 5 laps short of what I do.

This works - you have to do it on your Fitbit not through the app. Easy when you know how! Frustrating few hours to fix it though!

I cannot change the length on my Fitbit Hr Inspire. It has a set length of 25 m, which came with the device. I’ve tried doing what a few others have said, but it doesn’t let me change the length

It took me awhile to fully understand the answer. After I selected 'swimming', I got a screen where I could start the exercise by pushing the forward error. Don't push it. Just swipe up ... and WOW, I finally found the screen titled 'pool settings'. Easy after that.
