Inspire HR: Step accuracy

Hello,

I am using my Inspire HR only a few days, but find that the step count is way off. Only today I put the Inspire to charge and already the count show 1.662 steps. (1.32KM) We do not have a small house, but to walk that many steps will not happen. This was my confirmation of suspecting the same during the past few days. Since I used the Inspire, it gives me consistent way more steps, and distance, than I actually did. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks.

I have it from Sunday, same issue even if I tried all the possible solutions I found in the help and forums.

I have the option to return back before the 21st, I think I will change it for a similar tracker from other brand.

I see that this issue is opened from April and Fitbit has not provided yet a solution...

You belong to a very large club of dissatisfied members for accuracy on steps. I like Fitbit for a lot of reasons but step accuracy is NOT one of them! 😩

I bought an Apple Watch but seem to like my Fitbit....? My daughter-in-law loves her Apple Watch so I will save my final choice until after she helps me with the different types

I just got my Fitbit Inspire HR and the steps seem way off. Fitbit says I've done 5,793 steps today and Stepz app on my iPhone says I've done 2314 which seems more accurate. How do I get the correct setting on Fitbit?

Does anyone have any idea what the monthly charge will be for the Premium Fitbit version? Why aren’t we being told this information?

More tweaks and information.... probably worth it but I don’t want to order it without knowing the monthly cost

way too many steps. Counted 100 as I was asleep in bed, even while automatically logging that time as sleep! Useless as a step tracker. So annoying as they sent me an inspire as a replacement to my Alta which stopped syncing, but counted steps accurately. Fitbit makes junk, buy a Garmin:

It logged 7 steps with me sitting in bed texting. Logged 100 steps while driving. I need to know there’s a fix or I’m going with another brand. I bought this for step bet so I can have my steps accurately monitored.

Not happening mate. False promises have come to nothing. I have a way of working with it but involves maths. For accuracy try Pacer as an app on your phone. Error is about 3% or less as opposed to Inspires average of 20/25%. Shocking piece of equipment - not sure how they are allowed to keep selling it.

I have a large iPhone that doesn’t always fit in my pockets and I don’t like to always have it on my person. At this point, can anyone suggest a better step tracker that I can wear on my wrist?

I use a Garmin vivosmart 4 now and love it! It links with My Fitness Pal app and is great !

Extremely accurate for steps!

Thank you so much!

Why not just honestly admit that this device doesn't count steps.  It counts hand, wrist and arm movements.  Sometimes those movements coincide with steps being taken, but only sometimes.  It's a poor excuse for a step tracker.
