Hello,
I am using my Inspire HR only a few days, but find that the step count is way off. Only today I put the Inspire to charge and already the count show 1.662 steps. (1.32KM) We do not have a small house, but to walk that many steps will not happen. This was my confirmation of suspecting the same during the past few days. Since I used the Inspire, it gives me consistent way more steps, and distance, than I actually did. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks.

I have tried to do the things Fitbit support told me to do in order to adjust the step counts without success. My Fitbit Inspire HR continues to add several hundred steps even whilst I'm asleep. The Product is obviously not ready for the market. I am very disappointed and I really think Fitbit should acknowlegde the problems with the Product.
I have returned my Fitbit to the store and I now say bye bye to Fitbit!

The same story over and over again. Someone complains and FitBot comes with the same "advice" to do so-and-so and then leave you hanging. I am astonished by the negligence FitBit displays for it's customers. Every not and then, a product can have issues. It happens. No problem, acknowledge, correct and move on. This is what a respected and quality concerned company has to do. Not FitBit.

The restart didn’t help. I’ve tried everything suggested in these posts and nothing helps. When will this be fixed? My cell phone step count app is exact to the steps I take even when it’s in my pocket.

I just bought my mom the inspire HR for Mother’s Day. Previously she had the flex. She is also experiencing grossly inaccurate step data. Her morning normally would net her under 3,000 steps now she has 8,000 by 10am. Also counting steps when she is sleeping or driving. I went through the troubleshooting steps and it is still a problem. Also read the previous posts on step accuracy. I understand being off by a few hundred but this is in the thousands.
Moderators - is there an update being worked on to fix this? At home troubleshooting doesn’t seem to be fruitful.

Yes I tried everything. Not one thing worked. I’m beginning to think that FITBIT really doesn’t care as long as they get their $. Shouldn’t be too difficult to fix this problem and it shouldn’t take all these complaints and all this time. Will not recommend this product

They still cant fx the swim data accuracy which was first flagged up over 2years ago. Its constant fob offs.

Nothing has changed, and the moderator's responses have been the same worthless platitudes since I got mine the first of February.
I had over 800 steps yesterday before getting out of bed, and last week I had a day of 12,000 steps without ever leaving our small house.
At least my battery lasts 7 days, so I don't have to charge it often to not be able to read the tiny text of useless information. I sure wish Withings hadn't discontinued the Pulse (which had amazingly accurate step count, easy to read, and 10-14 day battery life.) And I wish I'd bought a Garmin instead of the Inspire HR...

Posting to continue to FitBit know that I have continued overcounting issues. I see reference to a post that contains instructions to reset the device. I have not found that.
Can someone direct me to that post so I can give it a try?
Also my battery lasts 3 days.
I received this device on May 2nd. Something is off compare to my Alta HR, which is no longer available.
Many thanks!

Received an Inspire HR for Mother's Day, and I'm seeing MAJOR overcounting of my steps. I have gone through this thread and followed all the steps moderators have suggested, and it's still giving me false data. Is a fix in the works, or should i go ahead and have my son return it???

Hello! Can you provide any update for this overcounting of steps issue? I have been trouble shooting my way through this thread, and nothing is working for me. My Inspire HR continues to drastically overcount my steps though I have tried all of the advice of the moderators here. Can you please give an update about a fix? I only have a few days left to return or exchange my tracker, and information from you would help me make a decision. Best regards.

I am losing faith in Fitbit. It will be two months tomorrow since I purchased my Inspire HR, my first ever step coutner. The over-counting step problem has still not been addressed by Fitbit. I have tried all the recommendations to "fix" the problem to no avail. Please advise once and for all if Fitbit has any intention of providing a firmware update to fix the extreme over-counting issue that we are all experiencing with our Inspire HR. Please do not send a generic response that we've all seen before. Thank you.

My new Fitbit HR is also counting laughably high step counts. It counts hundreds of steps when i'm completely motionless. It regularly gets 15,000 steps or more per day when I barely walk. It records cycling as thousands of steps. My phone (Oneplus 6) is vastly more accurate. This is interfering with my fitness program!
It's now stopped syncing as well. Doesn't even show as a Bluetooth device. Fitbit's help screens are useless. This product was recommended to me, but it's just not doing anything it's supposed to do.
