Hope you can help... My Inspire HR ran out of charge early yesterday ( at around 200 steps) so I took it off and put it in my bag for the working day. When I got home I put it on charge, and subsequently synced; couldn't believe it when I found over 4500 steps logged on my dashboard... How did this happen? Any ideas?
Many thanks

Hi @Bubbalou62 nice to see you around. Thanks for posting your inquiry about your Fitbit Inspire HR tracking extra steps on your bag.
Sorry for the delayed response. I'd like to mention that Fitbit devices have a finely-tuned algorithm for step counting. In this case, you kept your Fitbit in the bag while you continue with you activities. This must have taken those extra steps. If you want to confirm the specific time your Fitbit took those steps you can check the Fitbit.com Dashboard > Log > Activities > Steps.
You can also check more information about how Fitbit devices work here.
I'll be around in case that you have more questions about this.
