My Inspire HR is having trouble connecting to GPS through my phone. Although I think the issue might be with the app rather than the device itself.
Since August 28 when I track a walk/run/bike, Fitbit only captures a very small portion of my activity, resulting in inaccurate time and distance.
It happens regardless of whether I track my activity through my Inspire, or use the Track feature in the app itself.
I tracked today’s run using both Fitbit and Strava, just to make sure there wasn’t an issue with my actual phone GPS. Strava recorded my run accurately at 4.45 km, while Fitbit tracked the same run as 0.43 km. So the issue seems to be with the GPS connection within the Fitbit app.
I’ve got the latest updates installed for my Inspire HR, the Fitbit app, and iOS.
Any ideas?

Hi @Robin00, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear about the connection issues that your Inspire HR's GPS has experienced with your phone. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.
Please restart your Inspire HR as described in this help article. After this, check out this page, which explains how your Fitbit device tracks GPS data and how the GPS feature works.
Finally, monitor your Inspire HR during the next workout and see if the issue gets fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi JuanJo,
Thanks so your answer.
I already tried restarting my Inspire HR as described, and my phone, but that has had no effect. I’ve been using it for over a year with no issues, so I am quite familiar with how the GPS works.
This is a fairly recent problem, and seems to be and issue with the app, not the Inspire HR per say, as the GPS still doesn’t work properly even when tracking my activity directly through the app, rather than through the Inspire.

Additional info: my Fitbit app is set to use cellular only, so there should not be any wi-if interference, and I have my permissions/location services set to “always” for the app.
