Inspire HR and the Clip Accessory?

Hello everyone!

I recently got the Inspire HR and I purchased the clip Accessory because I already have an Android Wear watch that I like for other stuff. I don't recall anywhere previously saying that the HR wasn't compatible with the clip and the user guide mentioned that Clip On/Off toggle that I had used prior to the most recent update.

Now I see that the option is gone and the marketing says that the clip is not compatible with the HR. What happened? Did I just miss this somewhere before I purchase my clip? I use the band for sleeping and workouts, but I wanted to use the clip for when I'm just walking about.

Is it truly not compatible anymore? Will readings be accurate? And if not, can I get a refund because the marketing and options on the device lead me to believe that it was compatible when I purchased?

Hi. I'm allergic to nickle also. You can cover it with clear nail polish. That often does the trick.

Just bought an inspire HR and bought the clip with it, it fits perfectly and even though it is attached to my thick leather belt it does pick up my and record my heart rate. Hope this helps!

Hey Matt my HR fits the clip and also picks up and records my heartbeat. Tried the clip vs the band and everything seems to be the same. By the way it is attached to my thick leather belt and seems to work perfectly. Hope this helps clear up the confusion.

Hi saxmanj, it’s not picking up your heart rate in the clip,it has to be on your skin to detect heart rate.  You have to turn the heart rate part off whenever I use the clip or it just does random readings. It’s in settings on the tracker itself.

Thanks! To test this out I put a versa 2 on my wrist and my hr on my belt
and the readings were identical. So I assume that it does work accurately
on the belt.

It’s impossible for it to work on the belt. It has to be touching your skin. It remembers the last reading that’s all.

Try one on your belt and the one on your wrist but jog on the spot and see if they both change the same with the increased heart rate.

MattFitBit—I would like help.  I walk with trekking poles, but went ahead and bought a FitBit because I’d been assured they could still be used if you attached them to your belt instead of your arm while using poles.  But it turns out that the model I bought online (Inspire HR) does not allow for wearing on hip, and so is useless to me.  What do I need to do to get something that actually works?

Same. First time fitness tracker user, and already frustrated after 1 day.
