I have had my Inspire HR for <18 months, wearing daily but nothing too strenuous - just wearing normally. I wash it regularly and in general it is in great condition. However last week the band unexpectedly just disconnected from the main body - at first I assumed I must have accidently hit the release latch, and it reconnected fine, but then it happened again, and then a third time.
On inspection, the molding on the body around where the pin from the band sits, has come away, so the pin will no longer stay in the little recessed hole (one side only) - the top part of the plastic has worn (or pulled) away.
Has anyone else seen an issue like this? There is no way to reattach the band so I can no longer wear the Fitbit so I guess I will need to replace (no other band alternative that I am aware of). I don't want to buy another Inspire HR if this is a common problem (I have otherwise been extremely happy with it).
I don't believe the way I have worn the device, or any of the activities I have done, are in anyway out of the normal. Seems to me like this is a manufacturing issue?
