Hi! I have ben using my fitbit Inspire HR for maybe a year now. This week i noticed that the battery would die almost by the end of each day. Normally I charge it every few days and it seems to be running perfectly fine. I did try to find previous posts that offer multiple suggestions such as turning off certain notifications/settings/etc. I have done that, but still, not much luck. I charged my battery this morning to above 50% (I was running late for work). Now I am at work and the battery is below 30%, and I don't have my charger with me at work.
I noticed there was an update on 12/24 (today is 12/30). Have any bugs been reported since the update? Are there any other suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Thanks and happy holidays!
Jess

I am experiencing the same situation with my Inspire HR. The battery will drain overnight for the past two nights from an almost full charge the day before. Has there been any resolution to the issue. I have had my Inspire HR since January 2020. MDT

@Dee138 It's nice to have you on board!
Let me help you with your Inspire HR battery draining quickly. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.

I cannot seem to get my Inspire HR to restart and I am still experiencing rapid draining of my battery. MDT

I have been having this problem for several weeks. It was working fine and then suddenly the battery decided not hold charge for any more than one day. I have followed all online instructions about maintaining batter life but there has been no improvement. I also find the time on the clock is often incorrect....by several hours. This is very frustrating, and I am thinking of searching for an alternative brand.

Help!!!!!
My Inspire HR's battery died during the night. When I tried to charge it this morning, I was able to get it to 92%, now 45 minutes later the charge is down to 62%. I tried to restart by following the instructions but when I press the button on the side for 5 seconds, I do not see the "smiley" face so I am assuming that I have not restarted my Fitbit. Any assistance please. MDT.
Just took a quick walk and now my battery is down to 33%. This is not acceptable. MDT

Mine has been doing this for the last week. I have tried everything that has been suggested. This morning it was charged and at 100%. 2 hours later I'm at13%. Is there any other solution?

Same thing with mine. I had it fully charged again today around 1:00 and less than 2 hours later, down to 9%.
The directions forwarded about charging and restarting DO NOT WORK. Please see my previous postings. My Inspire HR will not restart no matter how many times or how long I hold down the button on the side. No "smiley" face. Please contact me ASAP. MDT
I have had no response to my 21 Jul message.

My Fitbit Inspire HR has been almost unusable for the past week and dies every night. I need someone to assist me with this issue. My Inspire HR is only 7 months old and I would expect a better lifespan and support. MDT

I had the same problem. After trying everything on the forum, restart, cleaning contacts, etc, etc, I finally got on a chat with support. Bottom line is device is done for. Because it was 3 weeks beyond the one year warranty they would not replace it, but did send me a coupon for 25% off if I wanted to buy a new device. As a very loyal Fitbit user (3 current devices, many in the past, Aria, premium subscription) it was a very disappointing experience. Am rethinking my loyalty.

As a follow up, I can report that I was contacted by Fitbit after my last post. After some discussions we resolved the issue as it was still under warranty and I am now awaiting a replacement. I can also say that email communication with Fitbit was easy and their replies very prompt, for which I am grateful.

I am also losing battery life after the update a few days ago. I normally have to charge every 3 days but now have to charge 2 times a day. I hav tried restarting, changing my clock face and charging from 0 to 100.

Both myself and my partner noticed that battery drains ridiculously quickly after the latest software update (Inspire and Inspire HR, both updated within last week). There’s nothing useful for us in the generic tips to help the battery run longer - we already had everything disabled. Before the update our batteries lasted 5-7 days and now mine went down from 70 to 30% in half a day of just staying at home!
There’s definitely a problem with the latest software update - can you please look at this asap and release a fix!

Yup same thing happening to me. 100% to 0% battery within 6 hours.
I've tried all the recommended steps, including changing clock face and installing new firmware update. Still drains extremely fast.
Not great for a $100+ device.

I have been experiencing the same thing!!! Everything was fine until the software update.

I have also had this frustration - and it started after the most recent update.
I have also had another issue: all I can see is the notifications. I cannot access ANY of the other screens now. I have restarted it 3 times & charged it to 100% to see if that would help but it allows me to see other screens once & then back to staying on notifications only.
I know I am approaching 2 years since buying this Fitbit so I don’t expect the company would replace mine but I am hoping there will be another update very soon to solve these issues.
Thank you -
Carol
