Inspire HR battery draining way too quickly - possibly since update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi! I have ben using my fitbit Inspire HR for maybe a year now. This week i noticed that the battery would die almost by the end of each day. Normally I charge it every few days and it seems to be running perfectly fine. I did try to find previous posts that offer multiple suggestions such as turning off certain notifications/settings/etc. I have done that, but still, not much luck. I charged my battery this morning to above 50% (I was running late for work). Now I am at work and the battery is below 30%, and I don't have my charger with me at work.

I noticed there was an update on 12/24 (today is 12/30). Have any bugs been reported since the update? Are there any other suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Thanks and happy holidays!

Jess

When they sent me a replacement head, they surely wanted Not to send even a silicone band🤨
It was like I was asking for the world on a tracker that quit working in under a year. The long wait & constant calls from me just made my decision to go to another company when this one starts dying again. I wasn’t the bad person here... they were when not wanting to replace their product which went bad in under a year🤨 and giving me the run around when I had to keep calling them😣

I had to fight tooth & nail to get them to replace my Fitbit Inspire HR that wasn’t a year old because of charging to 100% and within a day I was down to under 80%:double_exclamation_mark:The first rep I talked to said to recharge it and if it continued to do this to contact them again. Well, I did that and contacted them but another rep wanted me to believe that was normal😱 it took talking to several reps before 1 actually gave me an okay to return it for replacement. That then took weeks as I was told they had to have several departments check it. Then once I heard they were shipping a new one.. it took a couple of weeks before I received it.

Planning on going with Apple:double_exclamation_mark:

My Inspire HR is draining too quickly as well. I have cleaned the contacts and rebooted as advised, but it was at 99% charge at 12:30 p.m. EST. It is at a 77% charge as of 4:52 p.m. Est. In the same day My boyfriend has a different brand of Fitbit (Charge 3) and is at 30% battery life after 7 days of no charge at all. My battery used to last 5 days and I believe this is a FitBit issue and at least 45 other people have complained as well.

I had the same battery usage which was unacceptable in under a year.  I complained to several representatives as they kept telling me it wasn’t an issue💥 it was under a year and I finally annoyed enough reps that they had me send it back because of the battery usage within 24-36 hours.  But they dragged out replacing it for over 2 weeks.  Finally got a new one and have had battery issues again.  My family bought me a new tracker from another company💥:double_exclamation_mark:

I might have to do that. They gave me a discount code for 35%, and that discount code didn't even work. Their systems said it was applied and nothing was taken off.

What company did you get it from? Clearly FitBit has gone down hill and they're not good at acknowledging their shortcomings.

hi walker thanks for this.  already contacted them and tried troubleshooting.  Had mine since 2019 and warranty doesnt cover it anymore.  Basically they just told me to purchase a new one because mine appears to be defective.  My mom also has one and have the same problem.  So sad that it seems like it's disposable after a couple of years.  Might not be best to buy a new one since it'll still be broken after a year or two.  Mine's not an isolated case, I see a lot of problems like this here at the community, but theirs get replaced, mine doesn't. 🤕

I hear you if they don’t last more than a year or two they’re not worth it. Sorry you didn’t have success with them.

They took down my last post without acknowledging their INSPIRE HR product has issues

So you're censoring the fact that your product is faulty?

Same issue. 2 year old Inspire HR. Chugging along fine and I love it. All of a sudden it won’t hold a charge longer than 4 hours. I understand it needs a new battery. I have no soldering tool, nor the dexterity to do it myself. Can anyone recommend a place to take or send it to ( in the US) for a new battery? Or do I just ditch it and get a new one? 😢

Ditch and get a new one. That's what I did.

How do they make a product where you can’t replace the battery?? That is so wasteful!! I’m so upset.

Do you have a number for the Helpdesk? Finding that info seems very difficult..

My Fitbit inspire 2 started dying suddenly 3 days ago. My Fitbit says it was setup up Dec 12, 2021.  How do I arrange a replacement unit?
