Why then when I am charging my fit bit do I get a message telling me that the battery might need replacing? And that it cannot be fully charged.

You sure it's an Inspire 2? Maybe it's telling you that you need to charge the battery because it's low? There are no replacement batteries for any of the Fitbits. The Aria Air scale uses batteries and the no longer for sale Zip takes a button battery. The other wrist based devices are rechargeable and they can't be replaced.

I believe what I have is a Fitbit inspire HR. Lately when I put it on the charger it will only charge to about 80 or 90% and I get a message telling me that I should change the battery. But you say there is no battery to change?

@queenscliff Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Sorry to hear about this. As @Odyssey13 kindly explained your Inspire HR's battery can't be replace. I suggest you try these suggestions to help improve the battery life on your device.

I also moved your post to the correct board.

Hope this helps.

That is so strange @queenscliff you're message - you have any way of taking a picture of it?
