Inspire HR battery to drain in 12 hours after firmware update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Purchased my Inspire mid October 2019, less than a year ago.

  • Watch always lasted 5+ days with no hardware or software issues prior to new system update installed a couple days ago.
  • Purchased my Inspire mid October 2019, less than a year ago so it is a young watch.
  • Watch battery now drains heavily in 12 hours, will die in les than a day. Has happened multiple times and started immediately after installing the latest system update.
  • Charging - this morning I was at 16% after charging last night. Within minutes while still on the charger the watch showed 60% then a split second later up to 70% and then a minute later back down to 67%.
  • This is not an issue with needing to change a few settings to conserve battery life. I have not changed any settings since the system update so the watch configuration is like-to-like vs prior to the system update and it worked perfectly well before the update with a long battery life.

Thank you, I look forward to hearing back. I did track battery drain throughout the day and it looks like I'm losing about 2.5-3% battery life per hour since the system update. So that would be a 100% drain in about a day and a half vs pre system update I was at 5 days or maybe longer for a full charge.

I have this same problem. I bought my inspire HR in Marche this year. After 10 hours it is empty.

Can YOU help me ?

The exact same thing happened to me. I didn't change any settings and after the update the battery life is less than 8 hours. I've also seen several threads about this and in every one a ticket is opened and a solution is never posted.

Can we please get some information about how to fix this issue without having everyone submit a ticket individually? @AlvaroFitbit

Anyone else feel like getting in touch with Trading Standards? Fitbit have quite obviously got a massive issue here which they are doing nothing about. I am really losing patience. My post has just been ignored and my issues are getting worse. Fully charged battery this morning isn’t going to last another day! They did something wrong in the recent update!

I think they definitely have a firmware problem that's caused some of this for so many people. Seems like they're just trying to keep up with the high volume of customer response issues right now, since it took a couple days for a ticket to be created for me and a couple more days for an initial response asking me to first try basic settings changes and verify battery drain rates before we try something else.

But I will say that I have been getting responses even if a bit slow and they may be willing to fix it. They've now agreed that there is a verified battery draining problem and are checking on warranty. At 11 months old, I fully expect my watch to be replaced if they can't fix the issue with a firmware patch of some kind. Still awaiting final word there but if they make it right, I'm willing to accept response time isn't the best but the outcome is acceptable. If I am left with a bogus watch at the end of this and a little discount to ask me to buy a new one, then I'd consider escalating a complaint. But I'm going to give them benefit of the doubt until then..... Good luck to you as well!

Thanks for the update.  This is happening to my fitbit also.  Purchased a few months ago but only started wearing last month.  Battery only lasts under 24 hours.  So disappointing.
