Two defective ones in three weeks and all they want to do is send out another under warranty - maybe signs of a bigger problem? Not to mention the charging port/cable is useless unless charging from a laptop as cord is too short and connection is too loose

I agree, far too short, easily slips off its mooring. My charge2 had a good grip with a clip. How do I resolve this?
