Inspire HR disconnects from all during exercise if app is closed

Hi there, apologies if there is already a similar topic.

Recently when I start an exercise on my Inspire HR (usually a walk) the watch doesn’t connect to my iPhone app unless the iPhone is unlocked and the App is running on the display. If I lock the phone or leave the Fitbit app to go to a different app the watch disconnects after around 15 seconds despite the app still running in the background. This is causing inaccurate GPS tracking of my workouts

In settings location is set to allow always and I have background app refresh switched on and low power mode switched off so I’m unsure what to try next

@Benmnk Thanks for stopping by! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Inspire HR losing connection with your phone when you lock it and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. This is odd as you have covered the items that may cause an issue. I suggest you try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.
