Inspire HR displays doubled steps

My wife and I each have an Inspire HR. Almost every day, and sometimes more than once a day, the number of steps displayed suddenly doubles the actual step count. If this causes the number of steps to go over 10,000 it reacts accordingly. At some point later in the day the display goes back to the actual number of steps.

 

Syncing while the display is doubled transfers the correct number of steps, so the data is correct. Resetting the device does not correct the display. Both devices exhibit this same behavior but not at the same time. Both show firmware version 34.20001.63.5. My wife has had hers longer than I have and says it has not always done this. It seems to be a problem with the firmware. I have not been able to determine what might be triggering the doubling of the display. Syncing may correct the display but I am not certain of that.

Hi @DrJ9451 That is really weird, especially as both Inspires are doing it. Id suggest you contact Support and see if they can help, as the restarts didn't fix it.
