Inspire HR distance calculation with phone's GPS is way off

I have an inspire hr+ and connected to my Pixel 2XL. I wait for it to connect to GPS before starting the workout, yet it is clearly way off on the distance. I My normal 3 mile run logs in at around 2.5 miles. My 3.6ish mile run logs in at 2.9. Not sure what the deal is, but clearly way off. Is there some bug or clear troubleshooting to fix this?

@zmal Welcome to the Community.

Let me help you with your distance detection with your Inspire HR and your Pixel 2XL. Since your tracker uses your phone's GPS chip lets try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.
