Me and my partner go for walks together, we walk the same distance together but the distance measurements on our hr are way off. Like about 800 meters off. We both wear the device on our non dominant hands, has location services set to always on the phones and we both take our phones when going for walks. Any solution is appreciated. Thanks

Let me help you with the discrepancy in your distance calculation. Your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this.

This would be a good solution if our strides were appreciably different, but they aren't. My Inspire HR records more steps and distance than her Inspire.

Steps Difference:   804     220     626     562 (and she walked 1/2 mile more than me)

Miles Difference:   0.84    0.41    0.57    0.50    "

 

Talked with Live Chat and have re-started my HR twice before taking these numbers.
