Inspire HR flick-wrist action to wake is not working

After pairing my Inspire HR to my new Samsung A12, the function to wake with raising/flicking the wrist does not work anymore. I tried rebooting and resetting the device and it wasn't fixed. It beats the basic purpose of a watch, to have to use a second hand to view it. It would pretty much render my device unusable and if I have to change it and get an actual watch, I won't be going for a Fitbit.

After three user data erasures and resetting, it works again. Will update if problem returns.
