I have used my tracker for over a year, in the pool and everywhere. Today I wore it in the ocean for about 10 minutes and it seems to have died. It had the smile face for a second then went black. I plugged it in and it got VERY hot, and won’t do anything. Help!

Hello - I am having this same exact problem. It happened today. My FitBit got so hot that it actually hurt to the touch. It won't charge and it won't sync. I am not trying to charge it now because of how hot it is. Can I also be contacted by the customer support team? Thank you.

Yes this happened to me as well. Swam in the ocean and then my inspire HR won't turn on at all and then when I went to charge it, it got extremely hot to the touch. Tried pressing and holding the button and nothing happens. Hoping to get it replaced but not sure if FitBit will replace it for me.

My 2 day old Inspire 2 has done this today too. I wore it swimming in the pool, then about an hour later to got super hot on my wrist, so hot I had to take it off. It then had a blank screen, won't turn on or sync. Not great for 2 day old Xmas present.

Was able to putt it on charge when I got home but after smiley face reset nothing has happened. Would love to know what to do….. admin any suggestions?

Based on this info, it seems to me like your device may have an internal short. Tiny electronics like a Fitbit can be hard to repair. I'd recommend you talk to Fitbit's own support team. You may need to get a replacement device, but don't just go buy a new one. Again, talk to Fitbit, as I don't know too much about how they handle repairs/replacements.

I had the exact same problem today, after
going. In the ocean. Have swum in the pool many times without an issue. Anyone figure out a fix?
