I have Inspire HR fitbit. I went swimming today at my home pool and now the screen on my fitbit is black. I tried restarting it as recommended from online instructions and changing clock face but no luck. My watch is fully charged and is synching but black screen. Please help. I got my fitbit in December.

Same thing just today. This is a replacement from the last time this happened to me last summer. Is this thing not water proof in a pool???

Hello, Alvaro! After an hour-long swim yesterday, my screen went black. My Inspire HR still works because the green light flashes and it syncs to my phone, but the screen is black, even after changing the clockface, which some on this site recommended. Please help! Thank you!

Hi, @fmillanz , your first step is to put your Fitbit in a bag of uncooked rice and leave it for a couple of days. Please don’t try to recharge it while it is drying out.
After a couple of days in rice, please recharge your Fitbit in the usual way using a plug known to be working - even if the screen stays blank and it does not appear to be charging - and, once it has had a good two hours charging, then try the restart procedure again. You may need to repeat the restart procedure a couple of times if it does not work at first.
If after several days drying and a recharge and restart you are still experiencing the blank screen, then please get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.Fitbit.com
If you Fitbit is less than one year old (two years in some jurisdictions - EEA and Australia) please get in touch with Fitbit Customer support ASAP for warranty help.

Thanks for the fast reply @Julia_G !
I thought my fitbit was waterproof 😞 In fact I've used in pools very many times in he past...
Will follow your instructions though - about this "If after several days drying and a recharge and restart you are still experiencing the blank screen...", how many days are "several" days? 4? 5? a week?

@fmillanz , how many days seems to vary. You can check it any time, but I think I would give it at least 72 hours before attempting to charge it, as plugging it in while it is still wet can fry it,
No device is water “proof” - turns our water is pretty strong stuff. Water resistant is the best anyone can do, and that can wear out over time, with exposure to sun creams or cosmetics and/or persistent pressure from, for example, jumping into the pool.
