Inspire HR has stopped responding to arm movement

My Inspire HR has stopped responding to arm movement; I now have to use my other arm to press the side button in order to see anything on the screen. Does anyone have any tips on how to resolve this ?

Press button a few seconds to get to 'Quick Settings'; scroll down to 'Screen Wake'; tap to toggle on or off.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
