I just got a replacement fitbit in the mail and ice put that it's on my dominant hand. I've checked my stride length and for some reason in the app it keeps saying I've been going for out door bike rides while I'm at work. I'm fustrated I feel like I was sent a broken Fitbit and I've tried talking to customer service but get disconnected

@Nicolelauren Thanks for stopping by! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your Inspire HR detecting outdoor biking. Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and records the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. It could be that you are moving your hands in a repetitive way (for example maybe when doing a presentation). I suggest you wear your tracker on your non dominant hand it doesn't detect that much movement.
Let me know how it goes.

I've tried both arms. And my step count is still very off. I have had fitbits for years I know something if wrong with the one I was sent to replace my broken one under the warranty.
