I have been trying to use my interval training to do some exercises. I know how to change timer and rest periods on the app.
My problem is that when I am doing my workout my Fitbit will vibrate throughout exercise (not just at start and finish times) this makes it confusing to know when I should stop my exercise. When this happens I am also noticing that a box with either a tick or cross will appear at bottom left hand side of watch. I have turned off notifications but this doesn’t seem to make a difference?

I also encountered this problem just yesterday and stumbled across this thread while searxhing for a fix. Please look into this asap as this seems to be a silly bug but set back the use of the watch tremendously.

I received this communication from Fitbit yesterday. They’re currently looking into it. Message starts below the #############################
Thank you for your reply regarding your Fitbit Inspire HR situation, we appreciate your patience and collaboration.
Since this situation turned out to be uncommon, we need to research the root cause of the issue. This, as you may know, takes almost the same amount of time that it takes for us to release any new feature/update from the previous platforms that we have launched already since it means that our engineering team has to go through all of our data, software, and hardware to fix the issue.
Due to the complexity of this process, it may take longer than expected, and thus being the reason why we can't determine any specific date to provide our customer. Therefore, we advise our users to check back with us regularly to verify any updates.
Let us know if you have any questions. Please contact us back. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,

By default, the interval workout consists of:
I would like to suggest you to restart the Inspire HR again, change the times for the interval workout and sync. Then please try the activity again.
Give it a shot and let me know if that works. Have a nice weekend!

Thank you for getting back to us @Hobes and @Parkersspace.
Intervals are the exercise that alternates between intense bursts of activity (the move period) followed by periods of lower intensity activity or resting period. Your Fitbit will vibrate between those times.
Additionally, I would like to know if you have changed the interval times recently? If you have, I'd like you to please try to delete the current interval workout and add a new one with the time you want. Try the feature again and let us know if it continues to vibrate randomly.
I'll be waiting for your reply!

Hi - I’ve been having this same issue too. My interval timer is set for 30 seconds in and 10 seconds rest and I set it to repeat 40 times. Mine will vibrate after every repetition is hit (so it’ll vibrate at 1/40, 2/40, etc. which is very often) and then will also vibrate at random times (sometimes after 9 seconds, 11 seconds, it’s very random) and it will have a check mark and then an X next to it. I don’t know what these checks or Xs mean but it confuses me because it’ll vibrate multiple times within the 30 seconds, and I don’t know when to stop. Let me know if you have a solution!

Hi Bailey,
You’ve raised two same two issues I have. So I’ll break out the answers and solution I’ve been given or determined
issue 1: Vibrating after every repetition
My Fitbit does this too. If you owned a charge 2 you would notice a difference. The charge 2 would vibrate when your interval Ended. So 1/4 Start 1min interval at 0(workout ends),vibrate, then 2/4 rest interval starts, at 0 interval ends, vibrate. So at every vibrate you know when to start or stop.
The Inspire HR vibrates at every interval start. So vibrate start 1/4,vibrate rest 2/4, vibrate start 3/4, vibrate rest 4/4.
for me personally I preferred the logic the charge 2 used and the reason why Is because when you start doing more intervals like 8+ you lose count of where you are. Don’t know if you should rest or start. When you’re notified at the end of the Ann interval you don’t need have to worry about what interval you’re on, you simply start and stop. Now the reason why I have so many workouts in my routine Ian because I’ll plan my whole workout around multiple routines/machines so I’ll sometimes have 24+ intervals. Needless to say with the Inspire I lose where I am in my count and I have to constantly check my watch which defeats the purpose of interval workouts.
Solution: I raised up to Fitbit and I was advised by their escalation team that the Inspire was designed that way. So the only resolution is for me people to escalate the same issue for Fitbit Tom consider the change.
Issue 2: Constantly Vibrating with random check boxes appearing
I also experienced this a small have other users. One of the users replied back and recommended turning off GPS. When she (the other user) did this the random notifications went away.
Solution: I’ve confirmed that when you turn off the GPS, the random check box notifications went away. @Fitbit I believe I’ve identified the problem
@Baileys123 I hope this helps. If you can do is all a favor and turn off you’re gps and see if that stops the random notifications and constant Vibrating that’s will validate our fix

Hi @GraceGFitbit I’ve found that when you turn off the GPS the random notifications and Vibrating stops. Can you please raise this discovery to your tier 2 group.

Grave it’s near impossible to get you the screen shot. Notifications appears and disappears within seconds.
To replicate, select interval exercise, keep GPS on and pick any workout. Burpees or dumbbell curls. You have to actually move and exercise

Not on your phone. Only the Fitbit. On the Inspire you can find the gps setting by pressing the side button to bring up the screen then swipe down until you get to settings, tap settings and GPS settings is the first selection. Taps the gps to turn on or off.
