I have been trying to use my interval training to do some exercises. I know how to change timer and rest periods on the app.
My problem is that when I am doing my workout my Fitbit will vibrate throughout exercise (not just at start and finish times) this makes it confusing to know when I should stop my exercise. When this happens I am also noticing that a box with either a tick or cross will appear at bottom left hand side of watch. I have turned off notifications but this doesn’t seem to make a difference?

This same thing happens when I am doing a walk, hike, or run and I want GPS enabled so turning it off in the Inspire isn't a real solution for me. It just started Monday and doesn't happen every time. Sunday started a walk and within 10 minutes it was vibrating incessantly; went on a 2.5 mile walk yesterday and it didn't vibrate at all. Went on a 5 mile walk this morning and it started vibrating around mile 3 intermittently for about 15 minutes, then stopped. I tried to count the seconds between vibrations to see if there was any consistency but there wasn't. Vibrate 5 seconds, vibrate 5 seconds, vibrate 23 seconds, vibrate 7 seconds, vibrate 42 seconds..
Really no pattern at all.
I have no exercise cues on and was getting no phone notifications (incoming texts, calls, apps, etc.) during this time either. I restart it every time I put it on the charger which is daily (since that is so often Support's recommended solution to any issue) and I just purchased it two weeks ago so if it's a hardware issue that's ridiculous. Never had this issue with my Charge 2 when GPS tracking exercise.

I also have this problem with the Inspire HR buzzing all the time during interval training. It makes the interval training pretty much useless because I have to keep looking at the watch to see whether it's time to switch between work and rest. I'm glad to see that turning off GPS seems to be an effective workaround, but it's really not good enough to have to choose between GPS or Interval Training. Is there a proper solution to this yet?

Any updates to this issue it is 3/2020 and it is still happening, it started on my device last night, is it solely related to WiFi data transfer, when I changed some settings in iOS it seemed to start this problem.

Hey! Hopefully this is not too late! But I was experiencing the same whilst on walks, when I was connect my fitbit to the phone GPS, and figured out that was the cause! The way my phones battery saver is set up, it closes apps that aren't in use when my phone is locked, so it was dropping the GPS signal, causing it to vibrate, and vibrate again once I reconnected. As the interval timer seems to connect to the phones GPS, this could be issue! Hopefully this helps you or someone else with this issue!
Edit: OK reading the thread properly would help, I skipped to the end and hasn't seen anything about a solution, oops!

I kept the app open on my phone because I wanted to record the distance, but depending on what you're doing for interval training and if the distance is useful to you, disabling the GPS is another option

This is happening with my inspire too, except I’m not doing any training. I’m lying in my bed and it’s driving me daft with the buzzing and vibrating so I’ve had to take it off. This just started about 20 minutes ago and it won’t stop.
I’ve tried attaching it to the charger and pressing the button for 5 seconds as someone else suggested, but it hasn’t made any difference.
At least it’s still under warranty, but with the current situation re the Coronavirus, I can’t take it back to the shop meantime.

Thank you. Have now tried that but it didn’t work. Will try letting the battery run down and hopefully it will reset itself.

Since February I've been using the interval settings when I go jogging. I also have random buzzing/notifications with a check or an x at the bottom of the watch. It's not related to a goal or step count. I don't get notifications from my phone either. Restarting didn't help. Although I don't want GPS disabled, I tried that anyway one time, but the buzzing continues.
I don't have all-day sync on, so I don't know if the buzzing is a weird syncing issue? Next time I go I'm going to turn on all-day sync and see if that helps.

This particularly happens when I'm trying to do calisthenics intervals, vs running. In this circumstance notifications are GPS connecting and disconnecting from within my gym, when I'm not moving substantially. The GPS notification is virtually the same as the interval start/stop.
