Inspire HR is not tracking my steps accurately

Hello again

an hour ago I wrote about the led lights and bpm on my new Inspire HR not working, well now it is the steps.
I have been doing ironing for half an hour and I looked at the Fitbit to see the time and spookily enough, I have done 1000 steps...seriously. Now 
I cannot believe any of the previous steps that have been registered.

Really very disappointed Indeed

Any thoughts?

Please restart your Inspire HR as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how your Fitbit device tracks your steps and daily activities.

 

Finally, monitor your Inspire HR during the next 24 hours and see if it tracks your steps accurately.

Dear Fitbit

Hello and thank you for your email.

I am afraid the Fitbit is going back to the shop. I have done everything suggested and this morning the sleep recorder didn’t work.

I charged it this morning and then went through the restart again. The little green light has just disappeared, and the other functions are not working either.

Very disappointed that this has occurred after less than two weeks.
