Inspire HR is showing only a smiley face

My Inspire HR is about a year and half old.  I few days ago it started vibrating on and off constantly for about 2 hours.  How it just has a smiley face .. nothing else.  When I old down the rest button the smiley face comes up and then disappears after a few minutes, then goes black.
